PRP and all of the regional economic development organizations met with McCallum Sweeney Consulting representatives for an Alignment Meeting to review site criteria requirements for a Mega-Site Certification Program. One of the fastest growing trends in the site location business is the demand for "project-ready" industrial sites therefore PRP needs to be prepared to market our site with a wealth of site-related information and data on our regional communities. We have included each of the counties in the region and the City of Metropolis in our Mega-Site evaluation by McCallum Sweeney Consulting. |

|
On March 31, 2009 McCallum Sweeny Consulting put their stamp of approval on our site as a certified Megasite. PRP is one of two (2) certified sites in Kentucky and the only existing Megasite that is 100% owned by a public authority. Since 2004, eight (8) sites have been named “Megasite” and there are only three (3) remaining. With the designation came detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the PRP by McCallum Sweeny – a company that knows a thing or two about large-scale economic development projects. Their advice is helping to guide our infrastructure development and marketing efforts. Although not a guarantee for a site location, Mega Site Certification carries with it a weight and respect in the industry that major companies understand. We are proud of having accomplished a level of attainment that shows PRP is a quality industrial park site. |
