Bill’s past career in industrial distribution and volunteer efforts serving on the Murray State University Board of Regents, Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Regents, and local Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Board positions have set up him for success to understand the needs of business and industry and match them with the assets in the Purchase Regional Industrial Park.

From 1974 to 1977 Bill served as General Manager of Kentucky Hydra-Power, Inc.(KHP). He oversaw the operations as President and owner from 1977 to 2000. KHP is an industrial distribution firm that designs, builds and sells industrial products to manufacturing, power generating plants, aluminum smelters and engineering and agriculture clients. In 2000 KHP was named one of the Top Fifty Small Distributors in the US and Canada by the Industrial Distribution magazine. Bill ventured into online equipment sales and created PartsForIndustry.com (PFI) which he managed from 1997 to 2000. PFI specializes in assisting clients with disposal of excess/surplus industrial parts. KHP and PFI were sold in 2000 and continue to operate successfully.

A 1965 graduate of Murray State University, he served as the Chairman of their Board of Regents from 1985 to 1989. Under his board tenure, the university built a state of the art technological center and began an international studies program. Beasley served on the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents from 1999 to 2005 and was Chairman of the Finance and Administration Committee when the Paducah and Henderson technology buildings were funded. He continues his work as an education leader in Kentucky serving on the boards of the Prichard Committee and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.

As President/CEO of the Purchase Regional Industrial Park Authority, Bill directed the start-up and land acquisition for a regional industrial park in the Jackson Purchase from 2000 – 2003. PRP was successful in receiving grants exceeding $10,000,000.00 from state and federal agencies. In 2003 PRP received national recognition when it was selected as one of the future “mega-parks” in the United States and was featured on the front cover of the Site Selection magazine.

In January 2008, Bill was recruited back to the Authority to take the development of the park and marketing to the next level. In addition to managing the PRP, Bill oversees a large family farm in Henderson, Kentucky.
