WATER SERVICE: CONSTRUCTION

Hickory Water District has an existing 8” water main in the park area. This existing main has a capacity of 800 GPM and the water system has a current capacity of 1 MGD with no immediate plans to upgrade. Factoring in for peak utilization the system has an excess capacity of 0.55 MGD.

To extend this 8” main to the park is estimated to cost $750,000 and would require
about 300 days to complete.

Final construction is dependent upon tenant’s specifications.
