WASTEWATER SERVICE: CONSTRUCTION

Existing Wastewater Service:

Mayfield Electric & Water Systems is the nearest provider of wastewater treatment services. Their nearest services are approximately 60,000 feet to the south of the park. The existing treatment facility has a capacity of 3.1 MGD with an average utilization of 1.6 MGD and peak utilization of 2.0 MGD. The current excess capacity of this facility is 1.1 MGD.

To utilize the services of this system would require a 2.0 MGD expansion of the treatment plant. In addition approximately 60,000 feet of 12” force main and a pumping station would have to be constructed.

Time & Cost Estimates:

  • 2.0 MGD treatment plant expansion - $15.5 million and would require approximately
  • 22 months to construct, including permitting.
  • 60,000 feet 12” force main & pumping station - $5.25 million and would require
  • Approximately 12 months to construct.

On-site treatment seems to be the most feasible option but final construction will be dependent upon the tenant’s specifications.
