TRANSPORTATION: CONSTRUCTION
ROADWAYS:
The park has direct access to U.S. Highway 45 (4 lane controlled access highway). Other Roadways serving the park are KY Highway 849 (2 lane rural secondary highway), KY Highway 1241 (2 lane rural secondary highway) and the following county roads – Leon Baldree Road, Pittman Road, Whittemore Road, McGee Road, Olden Road, and Old Plant Road.
Proposed roadway improvements will include the construction of a new Directional Interchange (Trumpet Interchange) on U.S. Highway 45 that will be the park’s main entrance.
Time & Cost Estimates:
- “Trumpet Interchange” - $3.75 million and would require approximately
- 24 months to complete. (6 months design & permitting and an additional 18 months
for construction)
- At present it appears that the two State highways will remain unchanged and some of the
interior county roadways will likely be closed as the park develops.
- Final construction is dependent upon tenant’s specifications.
