ELECTRIC SERVICE: CONSTRUCTION

Jackson Purchase Energy Corporation (JPEC) & its power supplier Big Rivers Electric

Jackson Purchase Energy Corporation currently has distribution facilities within the park area (standard distribution voltage in 12,470/7,200 grounded wye). The existing distribution sub-station is located approximately 6 miles north of the park & Big Rivers Electric has both 69kV and 161kV facilities at the sub-station.

Time & Cost Estimates:
161kV - $3.2 million and would take 6 to 12 months
69kV - $2.15 million and would take 6 to 12 months

(Time is dependent on KPSC approval, RUS environmental approval, & easements)

Final construction is dependent upon tenant’s specifications.
