ARCHEOLOGICAL STUDY:
IN-PROGRESS (to be complete by 2010)

Tract 1 (North Section) -

UK Program for Archeological Research (UK-PAR) is presently preparing to survey approximately 370 acres that lies along the channelized Mayfield Creek and is a portion of Tract 1 (North Section) that was not surveyed in 2003. Also UK-PAR is to survey a 45 acre tract located south of Pittman Road, another tract that was not surveyed in 2003. This additional surveying to be conducted by UK-PAR should be completed in the fall of 2009 and will result in a combined Phase I and Phase II report. The Phase II portion of the report will target NRHP eligibility assessment for the World War II munitions factory.
